Krone Group Reports €2.3 Billion Turnover for 2024/2025
The globally active Krone Group achieved a turnover of approximately €2.3 billion in the 2024/2025 financial year, compared to €2.4 billion in the previous year. The company cites ongoing political instability, the war in Ukraine, and trade barriers as the primary drivers behind the current purchasing hesitation felt across both the agricultural machinery and commercial vehicle sectors.
Bernard Krone, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Krone Group, explained that customers in both segments are reacting sensitively to economic uncertainties. “We have long known in the commercial vehicle sector that purchasing behavior is directly linked to the general economic climate. We are now observing this increasingly in the agricultural machinery segment as well. To address these developments, we continued to invest in production optimization, digitalization, and automation across all locations during the past financial year.”

Strategic Milestones and Investments
Despite the challenging environment, Krone implemented several key industrial projects to ensure maximum flexibility and product quality:
- eTrailer Expansion: A new production line was established at the Werlte vehicle plant specifically for the production of eTrailers (trailers with electric drive axles).
- In-House Components: The Gigant facility in Dinklage began manufacturing its own brake linings.
- AI in Production: An AI-supported control center was commissioned for the production of refrigerated trailer components in Lübtheen.
- New Infrastructure: A new assembly hall was constructed at the GTS site in Ibbenbüren.
Outlook for 2026: Stability and Strategic Growth
Krone expects turnover for the current financial year to remain at a similar level, as international trade policies and geopolitical factors continue to impact the global economy. Dr. David Frink, CEO of Bernard Krone Holding SE & Co. KG, noted that the stability of long-term trade agreements has shifted, requiring the group to plan its worldwide distribution and service activities with heightened care.

However, the leadership remains fundamentally optimistic:
- Market Recovery: Early signs of recovery are being recorded in the German agricultural machinery market and specific European commercial vehicle markets like Belgium, Denmark, and Estonia.
- Global Expansion: Krone is preparing to strengthen its position in promising markets such as Asia and India.
- Rising Demand: With a growing global population, the long-term need for food and efficient transport logistics remains an undeniable growth driver.
