Stellantis N.V., one of the world’s largest mobility companies, announced that Francesco Ciancia will rejoin the company as Chief Manufacturing Officer and a member of the Stellantis Leadership Team, effective November 1. With over 20 years of global leadership experience in production engineering, plant management, and the implementation of lean manufacturing systems, Francesco Ciancia stated, “Manufacturing is at the heart of our company’s operations, and I look forward to realizing the improvement opportunities ahead with the teams around the world.”

The company announced that Francesco Ciancia will rejoin the company as Chief Manufacturing Officer and a member of the Stellantis Leadership Team, effective November 1. Francesco Ciancia brings over 20 years of global leadership experience in production engineering, plant management, and the implementation of lean manufacturing systems.
Ciancia returns to Stellantis from his role as Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans Operations in Stuttgart, Germany. During his tenure there, Ciancia successfully initiated the transformation process within the company’s manufacturing network. Prior to joining Mercedes-Benz in 2022, Ciancia held various leadership positions within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Stellantis starting in 2001. During this time, his roles included Plant Manager at the Kragujevac factory in Serbia, Head of Manufacturing for Latin America, and Head of Manufacturing for Maserati and Premium Brands across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions.
