MAN Truck & Bus’s fully electric trucks are proving their reliability in daily use across Europe. Actively operating in the fleets of leading logistics companies, MAN eTrucks have covered more than 5 million kilometers since the beginning of 2025, underlining their success in the transport sector. With an average consumption of 90 kWh per 100 km, the MAN eTGX has already helped customers save around 3,600 tons of CO2 emissions.

Pioneering Sustainable Road Freight

With its zero-emission trucks, MAN is positioning itself as a leader in sustainable road freight. Since early 2025, around 200 battery-electric trucks have been in daily operation across Europe, proving their practical suitability for logistics businesses.

Over 5 million kilometers, these vehicles have delivered significant environmental benefits:

  • 3,600 tons of CO2 savings compared to diesel trucks
  • A potential lifetime reduction of 172,000 tons of CO2, equivalent to the annual carbon emissions of a 32,000-resident city

Friedrich Baumann: “MAN eTrucks Deliver Reliability in Daily Use”

Friedrich Baumann, Executive Board Member for Sales and Marketing at MAN Truck & Bus, emphasized the strong performance of the vehicles:

“The 5 million kilometers achieved in customer operations are a powerful demonstration of how reliable and practical our electric trucks are in daily use. Whether in automotive, timber, or food logistics, the versatility of our vehicles proves itself in every sector. With series production, we are further strengthening this capability and continue to provide our customers with the most suitable solutions for sustainable road freight.”

Series Production and Rising Demand

In June 2025, MAN launched series production of the eTGX and eTGS models at its Munich plant. Designed for medium- and long-haul transport as well as construction and municipal services, these trucks are produced on an innovative mixed-production line, where both diesel and electric trucks are built side by side.

  • Production capacity: up to 100 vehicles per day
  • Target: over 1,000 electric truck orders by year-end
  • Current orders: approximately 800 heavy-duty eTrucks
  • Sales growth: +238% in H1 2025 compared to last year

A growing number of logistics providers across Europe are choosing MAN eTrucks for sustainable operations:
